The APEX 400 hydraulic press is dedicated to the production of pressed pellets for XRF laboratories and other elemental analyses. It is a benchtop press designed for repeated use in high-throughput analytical testing environments, producing sample pellets in steel rings, aluminium cups, or as unsupported pellets.

Specac offer a range of dies manufactured from the highest quality hardened 440C stainless steel to prepare pressed pellets for laboratory analysis, commonly KBr for FTIR and samples for XRF analysis as well as other applications.

The Specac Mini Pellet Press is an entry-level, handheld laboratory hydraulic press for the preparation of high-quality 7 mm KBr pellets for transmission FTIR analysis with up to 2 tons of pressure. Press can be purchased as part of a kit or on it’s own.

Handheld film-maker for infrared transmission spectroscopy

The Specac Mini-Film Maker is designed to produce high-quality thin films of polymer and plastic materials for infrared transmission analysis.

The Manual Press is designed to handle a wide variety of hydraulic pressing applications. They come in 15 ton press and 25 ton press variations and are especially suited for the preparation of solid samples for XRF analysis. When used with Specac Evacuable Pellet Dies, they are perfect for making KBr discs in FTIR analysis.

Specac’s Autotouch hydraulic press is available in 8 Ton, 15 Ton, 25 Ton and 40 Ton load configurations for industrial XRF applications and other laboratory powder compaction applications, including materials for use in engineering, electronics, and manufacturing.
